Thanks for the engagement! I read your piece, and you make a strong case that UBI does not need to be "paid for" upfront. I agree that we will have lower marginal costs from robots and foreign producers, and implementing UBI (or your equivalent progressive tax scheme) expands the base of consumers for those goods.

But I think that to print that much money requires conviction and foresight that UBI will work. I happen to agree that it will, but I'm unsure of the political viability without any revenue-raising or cost-cutting, which is why I lay out some of the options to do so. But who knows... the public consciousness is changing quickly on this issue.
