I agree — and I want to be clear that I’m not advocating for full-scale authoritarian socialism.

No modern developed country, including the US, is entirely capitalist. We already have collectivist programs like Medicare & regulatory agencies like the FDA. In my view there is not a dichotomy between socialism and capitalism, but a question of where you draw the line in a mixed market economy.

I want to preserve capitalism, but I advocate moving the needle a bit more to resemble the Nordic model. Of course I understand that you may disagree.
